The Maastricht-based photographer graduated from the Fotoacademie Amsterdam in 2016 (specialisation in ‘Autonomous Photography’). For her graduation project ‘Serendipity’, Pascale presented a series of photographs both dreamy and personal. 

Pascale Leenders uses photography to express her thoughts and to create a new reality. Sensitive to her own environment and nature, she has developed an intuitive yet careful approache to colour and light as the basis of her work. Her search for layering is characterised by the interplay between detail and abstraction and attention to composition and atmosphere. With her poetic, dreamy and unique images, she takes the viewer on a journey through her metaphorical and personal universe.

In 2017, Pascale met Han Rameckers, a visual artist, and they decided to start an artistic collaboration alongside their work as autonomous artists. They created a dynamic symbiosis in which her photographs and his mixed media work reinforce each other without losing their respective identity.

Fotografe en sinds juli 2016 afgestudeerd aan de FotoAcademie Amsterdam richting Autonoom. Amsterdam was ook de stad waar ze haar afstudeerexpositie ‘Serendipity’ presenteerde.

Pascale Leenders gebruikt fotografie om haar gedachten uit te drukken en een nieuwe werkelijkheid te creëren. Gevoelig voor haar eigen omgeving en de natuur, hanteert ze een intuïtieve en tevens zorgvuldige aanpak met kleur en licht als basis voor haar werk. Haar zoektocht naar gelaagdheid, kenmerkt zich door het samenspel van detail en abstractie en aandacht voor compositie en sfeer. Met haar poëtische, dromerige en unieke beelden neemt ze de kijker mee op reis door haar metaforisch en persoonlijk universum.

In 2017 ontmoet Pascale, Han Rameckers beeldend kunstenaar en besluiten ze om een artistieke samenwerking aan te gaan, naast hun eigen werk als vrij kunstenaar. Voor een aantal exposities zochten zij samen naar een symbiose, waarin haar foto’s en zijn werk elkaar versterken, zonder autonomie te verliezen.
